A no-cook, customizable charcuterie board for two, perfect for date nights or lazy evenings. Features a balanced selection of cheeses, cured meats, fruits, nuts, and sweet and briny accompaniments, all artfully arranged on a single board.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz brie or camembert
  • 4 oz aged cheddar or gouda
  • 4 oz blue cheese or goat cheese
  • 4 oz prosciutto
  • 4 oz salami or soppressata
  • 4 oz capicola or speck
  • 1 cup crackers or crostini
  • 1/2 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pistachios)
  • 1/4 cup honey or fig jam
  • 1/2 cup fresh or dried fruit (grapes, figs, apple slices, or dried apricots)
  • 1/4 cup olives (kalamata or castelvetrano)
  • 2 tablespoons cornichons or pickled onions
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary sprigs or thyme) for garnish (optional)
  • Dark chocolate (a few squares) (optional)
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving. Wash fruit and arrange other ingredients while waiting.
  2. Place cheeses on the board first, spaced apart. Cut brie into wedges or leave whole, slice cheddar into thin triangles, crumble blue cheese.
  3. Add meats: fold prosciutto into loose ribbons or roses, lay salami slices in overlapping rows. Place near complementary cheeses.
  4. Scatter fruit in small clusters around the board, fanning apple slices and tucking dried figs into gaps.
  5. Pile crackers and nuts in separate areas, keeping crackers away from wet ingredients to prevent sogginess.
  6. Place small bowls of honey, jam, olives, and pickles in corners of the board.
  7. Fill any empty spaces with herb sprigs, extra nuts, or chocolate squares. Ensure no bare wood shows.
  8. Serve immediately with two plates, napkins, and wine glasses. Let guests build their own combinations.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheese come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Arrange ingredients in groups for visual appeal. Keep crackers separate from wet ingredients to avoid sogginess. Customize based on preference or dietary needs.
