Fun and easy mummy hot dogs made with crescent roll dough and hot dogs, perfect for Halloween parties. Quick to assemble and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 count) standard hot dogs
  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Yellow mustard (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles along perforations.
  3. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 4-5 thin strips, about ¼-inch wide.
  4. Wrap 2-3 strips around each hot dog, leaving a small gap at the top for the face and at the bottom for feet. Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until dough is golden brown and flaky.
  7. Let cool for 2-3 minutes, then use a toothpick to dot yellow mustard for eyes.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use regular hot dogs (not low-fat) and let dough sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before unrolling. If dough tears, press it back together. For extra golden tops, brush with melted butter or egg wash before baking. Add mustard eyes after cooling slightly to prevent melting.
