These turkey and cheese roll-ups are quick, simple, and perfect for lunchboxes or snacks. Made with just a few ingredients, they’re a crowd-pleaser that even picky eaters love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 8 slices deli turkey (about 200g or 7 oz)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 100g)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional)
  • Optional: fresh spinach leaves, thin cucumber slices, mustard, or pesto

Instructions

  1. Lay out a tortilla on a cutting board. If stiff, microwave for 10 seconds to soften.
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese (if using) over the entire tortilla, leaving a half-inch border.
  3. Layer 2 slices of turkey evenly over the cream cheese, slightly overlapping.
  4. Place 1 slice of cheese on top of the turkey, torn in half and arranged to cover the surface.
  5. Add any optional fillings (spinach, cucumber, mustard, etc.) in a thin layer.
  6. Roll the tortilla tightly from the edge closest to you, tucking the filling in as you go.
  7. Wrap the roll tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 15-30 minutes to firm up.
  9. Slice into 1-inch pinwheels using a serrated knife with a gentle sawing motion.
  10. Arrange in a lunchbox or container snugly to prevent unrolling.

Notes

For best results, chill the roll-ups before slicing to prevent them from falling apart. These can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Avoid adding wet ingredients like cucumber until just before serving to prevent sogginess.
