healthy bloody halloween punch - featured image

A creepy-crimson, non-alcoholic Halloween punch made with pomegranate juice, ginger kombucha, and fresh lime. This accidentally delicious recipe is naturally sweetened, probiotic-rich, and comes together in under 10 minutes for a crowd-pleasing party drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice (100% juice, not cocktail blend)
  • 3 cups ginger kombucha (e.g., GT’s Synergy Gingerade)
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 2–3 limes)
  • ½ cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • Lime wheels, for garnish (optional)
  • Ice, as needed (large cubes or ice ring)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ice ring (optional but recommended): The night before, fill a ring mold or small bundt pan halfway with water. Add pomegranate arils, a few thin lime slices, and a couple of raspberries. Freeze until solid, then add more water to fill the mold and freeze overnight.
  2. Juice your limes: Roll the limes firmly on the counter before cutting to release more juice. Cut them in half and juice until you have ¼ cup. Strain out any seeds. Set aside.
  3. Slice the ginger: Peel the ginger with the edge of a spoon. Slice into thin rounds.
  4. Combine the liquids: In your punch bowl or pitcher, pour in the pomegranate juice and ginger kombucha. Add the fresh lime juice. Stir gently with a long spoon to avoid losing carbonation.
  5. Add the flavor infusers: Drop in the sliced ginger rounds. They’ll float and infuse the punch as it sits.
  6. Add the frozen fruit: Gently drop in the frozen raspberries and pomegranate arils.
  7. Add the ice ring: Carefully lower your frozen ice ring into the punch bowl. If you didn’t make an ice ring, add large ice cubes instead. Do not stir vigorously after adding ice.
  8. Garnish and serve: Float lime wheels on top. Ladle into glasses, making sure each serving gets a few arils and raspberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a less tart version, swap 1 cup of pomegranate juice with cherry juice. If serving to very young kids, replace kombucha with sparkling water and a splash of ginger syrup. The ginger flavor becomes more pronounced after a few hours; if making ahead, add ginger slices the night before and remove before serving. Store leftovers (strained) in a sealed pitcher in the fridge for up to 2 days; add fresh ice and a splash of sparkling water before serving again.
