A bright, flavorful frozen margarita with a fruity blueberry lemonade twist, perfect for easy summer sipping. This slushie balances tart lemon, juicy blueberries, and tequila for a refreshing and smooth cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh lemon juice (about 34 medium lemons)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) tequila blanco (100% agave)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 23 tablespoons agave syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) cold water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups (120-180g) ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate. Rub the rims of your glasses with a lemon wedge, then dip them into the salt to coat. Set aside.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemons to get 1/2 cup (120ml) of juice. Strain out seeds and pulp for a smoother drink.
  3. Add frozen blueberries, fresh lemon juice, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup or honey into a high-speed blender.
  4. Add ice cubes and cold water to the blender.
  5. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds until smooth and slushie textured. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more sweetener or water as desired.
  7. Pour into prepared glasses, garnish with lemon wheel or fresh blueberries, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen blueberries instead of ice cubes for better texture and natural sweetness. Fresh lemon juice is essential for crisp flavor. For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila and triple sec with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda and adjust sweetness. Blend base ingredients without ice if prepping ahead, then add ice and blend before serving. Avoid over-blending to maintain slushie texture.
