These no-bake Halloween dirt cups feature layers of creamy chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo ‘dirt,’ and gummy worms peeking out. They’re quick, easy, and a guaranteed hit at any spooky celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (3.9-ounce) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold whole milk
  • 1 (8-ounce) tub frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 1 (14.3-ounce) package Oreo cookies
  • 1 (5-ounce) bag gummy worms
  • Optional: candy pumpkins, orange and black sprinkles, plastic spider rings for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Let sit for 5 minutes to set.
  2. Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding until no white streaks remain. The mixture should be light and fluffy.
  3. Place Oreos in a large Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin until you have a mix of fine crumbs and pea-sized chunks. Alternatively, pulse in a food processor.
  4. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of crushed Oreos into the bottom of each clear cup or jar.
  5. Spoon or pipe the pudding mixture on top, filling each cup about three-quarters full. Tap gently to settle.
  6. Top each cup with another generous layer of crushed Oreos, covering the pudding completely.
  7. Gently poke 2–3 gummy worms into the top of each cup so they appear to be wriggling out of the dirt.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the pudding to set and the Oreo crumbs to soften.
  9. Garnish with optional candy pumpkins, sprinkles, or plastic spiders just before serving. Serve cold.

Notes

For best results, use cold whole milk and let the pudding set fully before folding in the whipped topping. Chilling overnight yields the best texture. For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free whipped topping. For gluten-free, use gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies.
