A fun and easy Halloween pizza featuring a spiderweb design made with sauce and cheese, plus pepperoni legs that curl up during baking. Perfect for picky eaters and guaranteed to delight kids and adults alike.

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded whole-milk mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 8 to 10 slices pepperoni
  • 2 small black olives (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. Let pizza dough sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Lightly flour a work surface and stretch dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza pan.
  3. Spoon about 1/3 cup pizza sauce onto the center of the dough and spread in a spiral pattern, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust. Drizzle thin lines of sauce from center to edge like spokes, then drag a butter knife in curves from one spoke to the next to create a spiderweb pattern.
  4. Sprinkle 1 3/4 cups mozzarella evenly over the sauce, reserving 1/4 cup for later.
  5. Cut pepperoni slices into thin strips (about 1/4 inch wide). Arrange a cluster of strips in the center for the spider body, then arrange remaining strips radiating outward for 8 legs. Tuck ends of strips under the cheese. Place two olive slices near the front for eyes.
  6. Drizzle reserved 1/4 cup cheese around the spider. Brush crust edges with olive oil mixed with garlic powder.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly, crust is golden, and pepperoni legs are curled and crispy.
  8. Let cool on pan for 3 to 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use fresh pizza dough and shred mozzarella from a block (pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that reduce stretch). Tuck pepperoni strips under the cheese to keep them attached. Let kids help arrange the spider legs for extra fun. Double the recipe for larger groups.
